The powders are semi-matte and lightweight that you can layer if you feel you need to for coverage. I sometimes do use my fingers to tap in layers as I find it the best way to build coverage with Stretch, but will usually soften out the edges with a damp sponge if I use that method.Įither way, I always set my concealers with pressed powder from charlotte tillbury using a big fluffy brush, then laura mercier translucent powder on top using either a tapered brush or drier sponge. I apply mine using a very soft round concealer brush (it takes a while to find the right one, alot of complexion brushes out there can be streaky unfortunately) and either blend it out with the brush by tapping in and then softening it with a semi-damp blender sponge (I use ones from beauty bakerie) or just going straight in with the blender sponge after applying with a brush. In the past three years I’ve used the Glossier Stretch Concealer in Light (now shade G11) approximately 95 of the time. It’s dewy as hell and won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but as someone with an extremely dry eye area I love the moisture that it gives and don’t mind that it’s not the longest lasting formula out there. It took a while for me to figure out what works with these new types of products but I've learnt to just use them the same way as I did with products before, as I'll still benefit from a natural finish this time without having to change or second guess the routine.

I'm similar to you where I made the transition from always matte full-face to a more natural look.
